Joan Barbara Helton, age 69, of Bartonville, Ill., passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Center in Pekin, Ill.
She was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., to Robert and Irene Hartjen Helton. Her mother remarried and she was raised by her stepfather and mother, James and Irene Bobo.
Joan worked for many years as a housekeeper at Lutheran Nursing Home in Peoria.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, James Bobo; and one brother, Roger Helton.
Joan moved out West for several years and later returned to Bartonville as a housekeeper, working at the Lutheran Nursing home in Peoria.
Inurnment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
