She was the widow of the late Vincent Ott who died in 2006. She was a former member of St Mary’s Lanesville Catholic Church and a current member of St. Mary’s of the Annunciation Catholic Church in New Albany. Mary Jane retired in 1996 after 37 years at the Floyd County Auditor’s office. She was also a member of the Democrat Women, St. Anthony’s Secular Franciscans Fraternity and the Ladies Guild of Mount St. Francis.
Survivors include: Daughter Clara Ott Hopper (Sam); eight grandchildren, Laura Sinkhorn (Rev. Dan), Christopher Hopper (Sherilee), Cathy Foreman (Derrick), Vincent Hopper (Heather), Mary Harmon (Jeffery), Jessica Korte (Jason), Felicia Fletcher (Ryan) and Philip Hopper (Elizabeth); 23 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 11:00 am until 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2019 with a prayer service at 4:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, December 9, 2019 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in New Albany with burial to follow at St. Mary’s New Albany Catholic Cemetery.
