Myrtle was born July 9, 1929 in Sheboygan to Andrew and Anna (Hartmann) Otte. She attended Sheboygan Christian School.
On October 9, 1948 Myrtle and Leonard J. "Ole" Olson were united in marriage. The couple formerly resided on Sibley Ct. Mr. Olson preceded Myrtle in death on August 15, 1986.
Myrtle was employed at Paper Box & Specialty Co. for 41 years until her retirement 2006.
Mrs. Olson was an active member of Hope Reformed Church.
She enjoyed going to Pine Haven Christian Home for Thursday morning hymn sings and sharing many special moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, that were the light of her life.
Survivors include six children, Elizabeth Olson of Sheboygan, Leonard Jr. (Cheri) Olson of Greer, South Carolina, Marjorie Apel of Port Washington, Randall Olson of Kaukauna, Mary Pfister of Sheboygan, Debora (Michael Sr) McDougall of Sheboygan; ten grandchildren, Lisa (Stan) Matthews, Ann Olson, Brenda (Andy) States, Rebecca (Jason) Miller, Betsy (Kenneth) Walters, Amy (Tong) Yang, Stacey (Bob) Taubenheim, Tina Pfister, Michael (Calie) McDougall, and Nicole McDougall; 10 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Dylan, Tougo, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Lucas, Abigail, Alexis, Aliya, and Mason; two sisters, Janet (Walter) Te Winkle and Margaret (Kenneth) Elmergreen; two brothers, Peter (Fran) Otte and Andrew (Angelica) Otte; and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Myrtle was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra; a granddaughter, Sara; a sister, Marjorie Conley; a sister-in-law, Ann (Lester) Biehl; and three sons-in-law, Gerald Seifert, John Pfister and Lewis Apel.
The family extends their thanks to the caregivers at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center and Aurora V.N.A. for their kindness.
