Steven C. “Bubba” Grimes, Milton-Freewater, passed away March 10, 2018, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, at the age of 22 years. Memorial services will be March 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home in Milton-Freewater. There will be a potluck dinner following the service at the Oregon National Guard Armory, Milton-Freewater. Inurnment will be at a later date in Visalia, California. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Steven Grimes through the funeral home.
Steven was born February 16, 1996, in Visalia, California the son of Shaine J. and Corina A. Grimes. He worked as a welder at Keystone RV in Pendleton. He enjoyed cars, family and friends. Steven was the glue that held the family together. No matter the situation, Steven put anyone before himself even if he didn’t know them. Steven touched many hearts and changed many lives. He always had a beautiful smile on his face and could change a mood instantly.
Steven is survived by his son, Jaxsyn Issac Matthew Cook and Jaxsyn’s mother, Maneceya “CeCe” Cook of Milton-Freewater; mother and step-father, Corina Grimes and Vern Walton of Milton-Freewater; brothers, Alex Bastardo-Grimes of Portland, OR, Robert Walton of Milton-Freewater, Kyden Walton of Walla Walla; sisters, Rosalie (Michael Whitmore) Dorsey of Milton-Freewater, Ashley (Taylor) Grimes-Cooper of Pendleton, Shenoah (Joe) Russell, Christina Goulette, Shianne Allen, Aspen Walton all of Milton-Freewater; grandparents, Earl Grimes, Linda Brady of Visalia, CA, Rudy and Liz Bastardo of Magalia CA; great-grandparents, Florence Grimes, Audrey Denton both of Visalia, CA; uncle, Shawn Grimes; nephews, Draven, Ryan, Keith; nieces Meghan, Emily, Cheyenne, Zoey, Leila and Addilyn. He was preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Earl Grimes, Sr., Robert Denton; grandmother, Rosalie Rosada; and great uncle, Rodger Grimes.
