BERNICE M. PORTER; LOWELL - Bernice M. Porter, 73, devoted wife of the late Donald Porter, died Dec. 2, 1985, at a local hospital. She was born June 30, 1912, in Atlanta, Ga.; the daughter of James and Mary (Adcock) Moore. She was a grocery clerk in a A & P supermarket for many years in Ohio; district director of Penquis CAP on Bangor and was a charter member of LaBell Perkins VFW Auxiliary; a member of Ladies Aide Society of Lowell. She is survived by one son, James B. Porter of Burlington; one daughter, Mrs. Danelle Mulligan of Howland; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Polsley, Hazel Eckenrode and Betty Headley, all of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren, Renee Mulligan, and R. K. Mulligan Jr., both of Howland and Lindsay Porter and John B. Porter, both of Burlington. She was predeceased by one sister, Marguerite Riehl. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday from Clay, Stevens & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Theodore C. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Lowell Cmetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
