John was a WWII, Korean War and Vietnam Veteran retiring from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after serving 21 years active duty and 8 years in the reserves. After his retirement from the Navy, he spent more than 35 years as a school bus driver for Vestal School District. John's passion in life was golf. He played every day no matter where he was, from Japan to Hawaii to Myrtle Beach. After his retirement from the Navy he could be found on any given day at Endwell Greens or En-Joie Golf Course. He was a self-educated man who was always willing to give words of wisdom even when not solicited. John was certainly one of a kind and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
