On October 10, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, Dorothy was united in marriage to Euel Thomas and to this union three children were born. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1982. Dorothy attended Light House Temple Church in Ellington. She loved going to church, walking, working puzzles and reading. Dorothy always made sure her children had what they needed. She was very cold natured even when it was 100 degrees outside, but always had a very warm heart. Dorothy was always a fighter all the way to the end, and she always taught her children to believe and standup for their selves.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter, Lisa Counts, two great-grandsons, Cody Counts and Clayton Hall, two brothers, Albert Gunn and Claude Gunn Jr., three sisters, Margaret Welburn, Anna Lockhart and Charlotte Castro.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Randy Thomas and companion Marilyn of Piedmont, Missouri, David Thomas and wife Lisa of Marshfield, Missouri, one daughter, Cathy Wood and husband Billy of Potosi, Missouri, one sister, Wanda Schneider of Imperial, Missouri, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
