He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Bonnie Lee Stockard; parents, Eunice Bell Stockard and Mary (Alley) Stockard.

Robert married Bonnie Lee Stockard on June 15, 1946 in Florence, Alabama. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion. His hobbies included bowling and golfing.
The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 5-9 PM and Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 10:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM at Pixley Funeral Home, in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery.
