Marjorie Ellen Craig was born August 4, 1929 in Butler, Missouri to Charles and Eva O’Dea Carroll. She was united in marriage to Joseph Craig on October 21, 1946 in Mound City, Kansas. To this union five children were born. Marjorie was a member of the Johnston Church of Christ and was a very devout christian all her life. She enjoyed attending Ladies Bible Study every Tuesday.
Our mother was a country girl who enjoyed the beauty of nature, especially sunrises and sunsets. She spent many peaceful hours working in her yard. Marjorie was a very strong willed, no nonsense woman who didn’t hesitate to give you her opinion whether you wanted it or not, but she was always there for you if you needed her. Marjorie was known for her hats. She always wore a hat and had one or two for every occasion, except for this one. She will be greatly missed by many.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, daughter Patricia Craig, as well as three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children, Michael Craig, Vicki Kiger (Jim), Shanda Craig, and Clayton Craig (Rebecca) all of Butler, MO., nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, along with her brother, Charles Carroll, Jr. (Louise), brother Thomas Carroll (Dora), and sister Wanda Wainscott (Ross).
