Wallace Boyce Webster May 31, 1918 - July 10, 2007 Wallace Boyce Webster was born on May 31st, 1918 on a ranch in St. Maries, Idaho where he was raised by his grandparents. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 1941 and married his college sweetheart Gail Anderson. He loved to hunt and fish, coached boxing in College and was an excellent boxer himself. Wallace proudly served as a Navy Lieutenant in WWII and after the war worked for the forest service as a firefighter and dispatcher in a lookout tower. In 1954 he moved his wife and 3 daughters to Bakersfield where he worked as an administrator with the Bakersfield City School District and retired as the principal of the adult school in the late 70's. "Wally'' was a man with a strong, generous and proud personality donating countless hours shuttling the elderly to and from doctors appointments. He also had a sarcastic and humorous charm that his family and friends will remember forever. Above all he was a dedicated family man who loved his family very much. He is survived by Gail, his wife of 66 yrs; 3 daughters, Linda, Judy and Jill; two sons-in-law; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was 89 years old. Memorial service to be held at 10:00 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2080 Stine Road followed by a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary at 12:00 pm., 9101 Kern Canyon Road.
