Leon “Pee Wee” Green, age 79, of Bivins, Texas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in a local hospital.

Leon was born September 2, 1940, in Cass County, Texas to Leon and Margie Green. He was retired from Atlanta ISD, and attended Pleasant Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family; watching westerns on T.V., reading his Bible, serving the Lord and being around people. His family said “he never met a stranger”.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Allen Green; sister-in-law, Janell Green; and his parents.

He is survived by his son, A. Bryant Green and wife Miriam of Bivins, Texas; daughter, Bridget Smith and husband Dennis of Bivins, Texas; three brothers, Richard Green of Atlanta, Texas, Chevis Green and wife Tammy of Bivins, Texas, Charles Green and wife Karen of Bivins, Texas; five grandchildren, Margie Lugenbel and husband Jon, Hannah Green, Ashley Smith and finance’ Andrew Cannon, Jake Smith, Kayla Smith; three great-grandchildren, Lee Cannon, Adeline Lugenbel, Tre Smith; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Rev. A. Bryant Green officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Pleasant Hope Cemetery, Huffines, Texas.
