Paulden, Arizona - Weldon Rutledge joined his Lord and Savior on July 12, 2007. He died peacefully at his home in Paulden.

He was born in Post, Texas, June 30, 1926 to Hardy and Blanche Rutledge.

He is survived by his wife Sandy of Paulden, Arizona; daughter Sandy of Wickenburg, Arizona; and son Marty Rutledge of Loveland, Colorado; step-son Matthew Dwire of Vermont; brother Donald and wife, Jean Rutledge of Abilene, Texas; granddaughters, Tracee and Brandi Dukes along with great grand children, many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of his many cowboy friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley at 11:00 a.m., with his nephew Pastor Cody Cochran of Bethel Assembly Church of Anson, Texas, officiating. Burial was in the Chino Valley Cemetery under the direction of Chino Valley Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Velma Robinson and Dorothy Watkins.

Contributions in lieu of flowers were to the Garth B. Last Charitable Foundation, Home Care and Hospice, 3107 Clearwater Drive, Prescott, Arizona 86305.
