Rev. Herman (Junior Boy) Willis Gibson, the pastor of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church for twenty- nine years, entered peacefully into eternal rest at the age of 74. Rev. Gibson earned a Masters of Theology Degree in May of 1999 from Union Baptist Seminary. He was a native of Ironton, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. Beloved and devoted husband of fifty- one years to Irma Taylor Gibson. Son of the late Herman W. Gibson, Sr. and Alice Jason Gibson. Devoted brother of Ernest (Brenda), Alfred (Marva Lee), and Anthony (Diane) Gibson. Brother in law of Gloria T. Peterson, Laurette T. Reece, Veronica T. Conerly, Velma Oubre, Selica and Alicidia Taylor, Robert, Welton, and Kenneth Taylor, John Harrison, Rodney Reece, and James Conerly, also survived by 8 godchildren, 13 nephews, 7 nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
