Bruce grew up and attended schools in Locust Grove, graduating there in 1963. He then attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Oklahoma. He went on to attend and graduate from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. On May 22, 1980, in Greenfield, Missouri, Carol Dickerson and Bruce Bell were united in marriage.
Bruce lived in Greenfield, Missouri from 1971 to 2013. He moved back to his hometown of Locust Grove in 2013. Over the years, he worked as a hog buyer for Wilson’s. He also was a hard-working rancher that raised and sold many heads of cattle and horses over the years.
Bruce loved horse racing, as well as anything to do with horses or cattle. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for over 45 years. Bruce was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He loved food with breakfast being his favorite meal. He was a likeable person that was known and loved by many. He will be missed.
Bruce is survived by: 1 sister: Debbie Williams and husband Dale of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his longtime friend: Carl Clevenge.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; 1 sister: Nedra Osborn; 1 brother-in-law: J.D. Osborn; and his best friend: Buster Hargis.
Cremation services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home. No formal services are planned.
