Ronald James Hanson (73), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather peacefully reached the end of life on the early morning of November 20, 2019, due to congestive heart failure and subsequent complications.

Born in Hope, Arkansas on February 4th, 1946 to, mother, Gladys Marie Hanson and, father, Arlin Hatley Hanson. He was the youngest sibling of two(Shirley).

Ronald's life lead him down many paths and was an adventurer, fighter, and loving man at heart.

At 18 years old he enlisted in the US Navy from 1964-1970 and served on the USS IWO JIMA LPH2 as a frogman as part of the underwater demolition team Amphibious warfare. special-purpose force during the Vietnam War.

After he bravely served for our Country and returned home, his sense of adventure lead him to work proudly for 55 years as a long-distance truck driver. He always bragged about being the best truck driver around and he never got a ticket.

His life saw many battles but the fight he ultimately won was the 6-month time frame doctors had given him after his quadruple heart bypass and his life was extended by several years. He lived an active lifestyle to the very end, as much as his body would allow and was able to accomplish many life long hopes and wishes during his last years of life including receiving a proper "Welcome Home" that he didn't receive upon return from Vietnam War.

During his time as a truck driver, he met his beautiful wife Patricia K Hanson which he leaves behind. They were married for 42 loving years.

Ronald also leaves behind his daughter, Rhonda Kay Hanson Callejas and his son in law Enrique Callejas and his grandchildren Brandon Vasquez, Cristian Gonzalez, Victoria Gonzalez, Angel Lucio, Valeria Cenobio, Jocilynn Villegas. and his 2 great granddaughter's Alannah Vasquez and Alaiya Morales. Ronald also leaves his youngest daughter Michelle Elaine Hanson grandchildren Destinee Hanson, Rolando Garcia Jr, Mikayla Conde, and his son in law Carlos Conde.

He will forever be dearly loved but will always be remembered by his family, friends encountered throughout his life, and longtime childhood friend Bob Palmer.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with graveside service following at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
