Boyd W. Stevens 1947 ~ 2007 Boyd W. Stevens, age 60, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by those he loved on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Fillmore Community Medical Center due to complications from cancer. He was born March 12, 1947 in Fillmore to Weir and Doreen McKee Stevens. He graduated from Millard High School in 1965 and College of Southern Utah in 1969. He married his sweetheart, AnnaRae Ashdown on September 2, 1966. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on July 22, 1967. Boyd was a respected educator who loved to teach and loved his students. He touched countless lives during his 37 years of teaching before retiring in 2006. He was a man of his word and was a true example of honesty and integrity. He loved his family and especially his wife who was by his side throughout his entire illness. His passion was farming where he produced quality horse hay and was known for his meticulous farm. He loved the outdoors and could frequently be found on the golf course. During the winter months, he loved scraping snow on his tractor for those in need. He is a wonderful husband and father who would do anything for his dear wife and children. His willingness to sacrifice for his family will never be forgotten. He was adored by his 14 grandchildren who will also miss his smile, laughter, and encouraging words. He will be in our thoughts daily as we cling to the precious memories he has given us all. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When called, he accepted any assignment and served diligently. He held many positions including Ward Clerk for over 20 years, High Priest Group Leader and Sunday School teacher. He served on the Holden Town Council for several years. You all are true angels who lightened our burden.
