Early Life: Norman was born December 6, 1930, in Safford, Arizona, to Aaron Williams Nelson and Deseret "Dessie" Morris Nelson. Norman attended North High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On July 27, 1953, he married Laura Lou Hamblin in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended Brigham Young University and Arizona State University. In 1951, he served a mission for the Church in the New England States and served his country during the Korean War. Norman served as bishop in the 15th Ward Phoenix East Stake. He also served as Scoutmaster, and taught early morning seminary. He was a great example of a disciple of the Lord. He was dedicated to his wife and children. He will be greatly missed by all. Norman Dale Nelson peacefully passed away November 18, 2019. He was 88.
