Anna Louisa, youngest child of John B. & Mary C. French was born near El Dorado, Kans., October 15, 1886. She came to Bates County, Missouri at the age of nine years. She was married to C.E. "Ed" Gragg of the Passaic community on November 4, 1906 at Butler, Mo. They removed to Kansas City in 1913 and resided there continuously with the exception of brief times spent at Humansville, Mo. At the age of 15 she united with the Christian Church at Passaic, Mo. Mrs. Gragg was a charter member of the Belmont Christian Church in Kansas City, Mo. She consistently gave the activities of her church first place in her life and was most faithful in attendance so long as her health permitted. She passed away March 17, 1955 at the age of 68 years. She is survived by her devoted husband, twelve nephews and nine nieces and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at Belmont Christian Church Saturday, March 19, with burial in Mt. Washington cemetery. Those attending the funeral services of Mrs. Gragg in Kansas City on Saturday, March 19, were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Logan, Mr. & Mrs. A.L. Gragg and Mr. and Mrs. Linden Gragg. Mrs. Logan is a niece of the deceased and A.L. Gragg is a brother of C.E. Gragg. (From the Bates County Democrat).
