Shawn was a graduate of Corning's East High School and enjoyed fishing, water skiing, working on automobiles and spending time with his friends and family. He had been employed by Veritas Gas Exploration of Texas, and had worked in the gas exploration business on many sites around the U.S. and in Canada.
Surviving in addition to his parents, Arnold and Joanne, are three sisters: Rachael (James) Draper of Hammondsport, NY, Gayle (Terry Jo) Carlson of Caledonia, NY, and Michelle Brooks of Pine City, NY; grandmother, Mary Brooks of Elkland, PA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 9, 2007 from 4 to 6 PM at Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 West Pulteney St. in Corning. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
