Jack Leroy Edwards, 82, of Victoria passed away, Friday, July 17th, 2020 at his home.
Graveside services will be at 10:00AM, Thursday, July 23rd at Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria.
Jack was born January 11, 1938 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Eylon Lyle and Ruth Gertrude Gill Edwards. His mother passed away 2 weeks after giving birth and he was raised by his step-mother, Anitha Edwards. Jack served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1962. Jack married his love, Jo Ann Hornstein, June 19th, 1960. Jack worked as a line supervisor for South Texas Electric COOP for over 42 years. He was an avid car enthusiast; he loved to restore old cars and attend car shows. In his later years, Jack loved to go to the Country Opry here in Victoria. He and Jo Ann were long time members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Eylon and Ruth Edwards; his loving wife of 52 years, Jo Ann "Grandmere" Edwards; and a grandchild, Casey Styer.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Styer (Joseph) of Sunrise Beach, TX, Kelly Hauboldt (Bryan) of Victoria, and Kristen Meitzen of Telferner; grandchildren, Christopher Styer (Shawna), Cody Styer (Sonya), Heather Styer Brooks (Jeremy), Bradley Hauboldt (Rebecca), Brandon Hauboldt (Rachael), BriAnn Hauboldt, Dustin Meitzen, Jacob Edwards, Haylee Grahmann and Tanner Pesek; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Styer, Patrick Neitzen, Brynn Brooks, Kodi Anne Styer; along with several nieces and nephews.
