She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edwin Foster Burdine (1920-2015); parents, Chap Perry Day (1897-1965) and Fannie Crow Day (1892-1967); sister, Bertha Day Evans (1923-2013) and an Infant Sister (1926-1926).
She is survived by her two sons, Randy (Cathi) and Kerry; daughter, Cheryl Muglach; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Catherine was born in Argo, Alabama.
She spent her life in Birmingham, raising her children and working for Dr. J Walden Retan. She loved working in her yard and growing flowers. She was a faithful member of South Roebuck Baptist Church for 48 years.
Visitation will be Friday, November 15, 2019 from 10-11 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with service beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
