EVANS, BERTHA DAY of Trussville, Al passed away Tues May 21, 2013 at the age of 90. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert T. Evans "Bob"; sister, Catherine Burdine (Edwin); sons Bruce (Stacey) & Richard (Jan); daughter, Pamela Epps; grandchildren: Adam, Elijah (Kathrine), Jason (Eliza), Josh (Dana), Angie (Drew) Kristie (David); Richard (Bethany), Evan (Daniel), Alex, Saul & Mattie; 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Robert (Shelia). Mrs. Evans was a founding member and past president of the St Vincent's East Auxiliary with 45,742 hours of service over 39 years. She served as volunteer manager of the flower shop and was twice selected Outstanding Volunteer of the year by Alabama Hospital Assoc. Bertha and Bob were faithful members of 57 years of South Roebuck Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday May 24 from 9:00-10:00 AM and the service following at 10AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville.
