Samuel Thomas "S.T." Griffin, age 93, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday morning, November 12, 2019 in Sparta. Mr. Griffin was born April 4, 1926 in the Griffintown Community of White County to the late Ransom Isaiah and Edna Ada Caldwell Griffin. He worked 13 years for Porter Hayes on his Peddler truck and then worked over 40 years installing tile. When he was not working his day job, he loved working his farm. S.T. served his country in World War II with the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife
Gena Marie Stewart Griffin; children Janet Griffin Newberry, Helen Diane Griffin and
Stephen Thomas Griffin Jr.; great-grandson Benjamin Samuel Allen Rice.
