He had previously owned and operated several clothing stores prior to moving to Eureka 20 years ago. He was a member of the First Christian Church in which he was the oldest active member along with his wife. He had held the title of Elder and Trustee and served in other capacities in the Church. A member of the Humboldt County Historical Society. A native of Arkansas. Aged 86 years.
Privates services were held at the Chapel of the Ferns, Cooper Mortuary, Thursday, February 29, at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Harold Ranton of the Eureka First Christian Church officiating. Private inurnment, Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka.
