Jacqueline (Jacki) Englander Davidson, who was born on July 10, 1943 in Brooklyn NY passed away peacefully on November 1, 2019 at Rose Estates in Overland Park.
She met Michael Davidson at a summer camp in New York run by the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies and eventually fell in love and married him on May 23, 1967, making a life together for 52 years. Their mutual interests in music and Jacki’s health concerns brought them from New Orleans where Michael played the cello in the New Orleans Philharmonic to Kansas City where Michael played in the Kansas City Philharmonic.
Jacki found her calling as a social worker and retired. She enjoyed attending the symphony, opera and ballet. Jacki was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Jacki is survived by her husband Michael. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, November 12th at 3:30 in the Wesley Covenant Chapel on the campus of the Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS.
The family suggests contributions to any anti-gun violence organization of your choice.
There will be a private ceremony where her ashes will be scattered, joining her mother’s at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens in the near future.
