Janet Beving, 98, passed away on November 4, 2018.

Janet was born and raised in Pella, Iowa. She met Richard at Central College in Pella, Iowa and they were married in 1943. They moved to California in 1953. She served as a secretary for Sylmar High School and was also a church secretary for many years. In 1971, she and Richard moved to Sedona, Arizona, where they enjoyed and loved the scenery and the many friends they made there.

Janet and Richard moved to Camarillo in the 1980's from Arizona. They loved the weather in Camarillo and were so happy to relocate here. Both Richard and Janet were very involved at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Camarillo where they made many more friends. After they retired and moved to Camarillo, Janet worked at Baron's Fabrics in Camarillo until her final retirement at age 90. One of her loves, after husband, sons and grandchildren, was to sew and she was a great seamstress. She could sew anything, she loved the challenge. Her specialty was making quilts and they were beautiful. She also made a lot of her clothes.

Janet was a great cook. She shared her culinary delights with the family. On many occasions she would cook meals for all the family to enjoy, when she could gather us all together.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; survived by her two sons, Dirk and Doug, and their spouses. She is also survived by her three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
