Private family services were conducted for Joseph G. Hay.
Hay, 49, of 1037 Oak Way, Rock Springs, died at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2006. He was a lifetime resident of Rock Springs.
He was born Aug. 13, 1956 in Rock Springs, the son of John Woods Hay Jr. and Frances Smith Hay.
He attended school in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1974. He also attended the University of Wyoming.
On March 22, 2006, he married the former Lisa Fech in Rock Springs.
He worked for Mountain Fuel Supply Company and later for FMC. He worked at the Hay family ranch and was employed as a cement finisher for the past 15 years.
Hay was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 151 and American Legion Archie Hay Post No. 24.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and his four-wheeler in the country.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Hay of Rock Springs; his wife, Lisa Fech Hay of Rock Springs; one stepson, Parke Fech of Rock Springs; two brothers, Keith N. Hay and John W. Hay III, both of Rock Springs; seven nieces and nephews; and his constant companion, Schnitzel.
He was preceded in death by his father, John; and one sister, Helen Hay Bunning.
Cremation has taken place.
