William Hugh Bullard Sr., 83, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday at his home.

He was born March 26, 1920, at Fort Smith, a son of the late Richard Bullard and Minnie Lee Grady Bullard.

He was reared and educated at Hartman (Johnson County).

He served in the Army during World War II, where he was stationed in Alaska, on the island of Attu.

He moved to Pine Bluff in 1951.

He worked 30 years at the Pine Bluff Arsenal as an munition inspector, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of the White Hall United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8277.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Bullard; and two sisters, Ruby Lundry and Faye Sexton.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Lane Bullard, whom he married on Dec. 17, 1960, at White Hall; one son, William Hugh Bullard Jr. of Redfield; two daughters, Victoria Lane Mosley of Shreveport and Stephanie Lee Besaw of North Little Rock; one sister, Maize Sparks of Westminster, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at White Hall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Walker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
