"Samuel Higgenbottom, 71, a retired farmer and a resident of Pacific since 1942, died suddenly at his home Thursday, March 25.
"Mr. Higgenbottom was born March 26, 1882 at Adams, Neb. He is survived by his wife, Emma; 5 sons, George and Earl of Auburn; Clarence of Portland, Jessie of Richmond, Va., and John of Seattle; 6 daughters, Mrs. Goldie Goodman of Vail, Oregon; Mrs. Dollie Jones, Jamestown, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Reneau, Aline, Okla.; Mrs. Evelyn Whitney, Pacific city; Mrs. Bessie Garland, Lucy, Tenn., and Mrs. Ruth Pigg of Springfield Oregvon; one brother, Elmer of Supply, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Amanada Carter and Mrs. Rosa Kneale of Hood River, Oregon and Mrs. Martha Ann Vite of Fredrick, Okla.; 32 grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. from the Lightle Chapel with the Rev. Eric Kulburg of the Pacific-Algona church officiating. Burial was in the Auburn Cemetery."
