Services for Marion Faye Wilson Welch, 79, who died Friday November 01, 2019, in Natchez, will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday November 06, 2019 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday, November 06, 2019 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Welch was born January 16, 1940 in Gulfport, MS, the daughter of John Francis Standifer and Eula Mae Anderson Standifer.
Mrs. Welch was a resident of Natchez, MS for 44 years and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a loving relationship with her granddaughter Vickie, and enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was friendly and giving, and loved to sew, read and garden.
Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Grady Wilson, Sr., daughter, Marion Vickalina Wilson, and four sisters, Mary Edwards, Caralin Thomas, Nora Mae Hicks, and Margie Cretmore.
She is survived by her son, Grady “Cookie” Wilson and wife Jennifer of Natchez, MS; one granddaughter Victoria “Vickie” Wilson of Fort Polk, LA.; 2 grandsons Alex Howell and Trey Wilson, of Natchez, MS; one brother Norman Standifer and wife JoAnn of Vicksburg, MS; and mother of her granddaughter, Brenda “BeBe” Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Norman, Rudy Wilson, Norman Standifer, Lavell Standifer, Scott Standifer and Tommy Hicks.
