A native of Blacksburg she was the widow of Elmon T. Grainger and daughter of Braynard Lamar Westmoreland and Wreatha Bridges Westmoreland.
She was a former BellSouth switch room technician.
She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Grainger was preceded in death by two brothers, John F. Westmoreland and Lamar (Shorty) Westmoreland and three sisters, Mary Sue Westmoreland, Lydia (Dot) Dixon and Jean Cartee.
Graveside services: Clingman Memorial Gardens.
