BREWER - Mrs. Daniel (Bessie) Brewer, 84, of 2310 11th Street, died Monday at Good Samaritan Center in Osceola after a lingering illness.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. D. Lee Grace, 10 a.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Her body lies in state at the chapel.
She was born March 11, 1888 to Ignatius and Sarah Wanker in Iowa. On July 28, 1912 she married Daniel G. Brewer at Ainsworth, and lived in Columbus many years. She was former owner and manager of the Advertiser Print Shop, and a member of the Royal Neighbors.
Her husband died July 24, 1953. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Clayton Brewer and Mrs. George (Maxine) Karges, both of Columbus; Elon Brewer of Somonauk, Ill.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, four sisters, two granchildren [sic] and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Overturf, Don Clabaugh, Allan Brewer, Dan Karges, Jim Snyder and Darrell Randles.
