Wanda attended Beggs High School and graduated with the class of 1981. She proudly served in the United States Army for twenty years from which she retired from in August 2009 as a Senior Court Reporter, stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Cameron University. Wanda had a small group of women that all traveled together and they called themselves "The Jewels". She was also on the Beggs All School Reunion Committee.
Preceding Wanda in her death are her loving parents, brother Clayton Johnson, twin siblings Tommie and Connie Johnson , and sister Kathleen Johnson. Celebrating her life are daughters: Chandis Harp (Roderick II) of Preston, and Kiandra McCray of Broken Arrow, cherished grandchildren, Roderick III, Janessa, Kenya, and Kylan, siblings James (Judy) Johnson, and Rosie Johnson, nieces, nephews, numerous family and friends.
Services for Mrs. LouWanda will be held 11:00am,Saturday November 9, 2019 at First Baptist South in Beggs with Mr. Herbert Hardman officiating. Interment will follow at the New Bethel Cemetery. Friends may visit her in state Friday, November 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel of Beggs. Casketbearers will be Fred Johnson, Greg Cullom,Sr., Alcarido Foy, Roy Tate, Leonard Moore, and Carlos Irvin. Flower girls will be DeAndrea Cullom, LaJuan Lewis, Elisia Joseph, Belinda Jamerson, Terri Tharps, Jackie Tate, and Sharlet Johnson.
