Irene Hausler, 85, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 11, 2005, in Austin. She was born Lois Irene in Austin, Texas, to William Edward and Lucille Clara (Schieffer) Hovis on May 1, 1920. Irene was a lady of strength and dignity who fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her family and live in their hearts forever. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Rueben Rufus Hausler (1912-1981); her parents; and two brothers, Milton and Dale Hovis. She is survived by her loving daughters, Sharon Lloyd and husband, Rickard, Marilyn Phillips and husband, Artis, Glenna Johnson and husband, Deck, and Terri Hullum and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Kimberly Fitzgerald, Rick Lloyd, Jr., Erika Wesson, Stacia Lloyd, Bradley Wayne Hullum, and Lauren Rene Hullum; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Rian Hullum; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, June 12, 2005, at the Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2005, in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment to follow services at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
