Jose Treviño went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

He was born in San Benito, Texas to Ernesto and Maria Treviño on June 21, 1949. Jose was a lifetime resident of San Benito and 1968 SBHS graduate. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan whom was hoping for another Superbowl win this season. Jose was the owner of Valley Lawn Care where he took pride in his customer service and integrity. He was a licensed customer service inspector, irrigator and back-flow prevention assembly tester. He enjoyed going for jogs at the Heavin Trail, lifting weights, and working. His pride and joy was his family and machinery.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ernesto and Maria Treviño; his brother, Juan Treviño; and his sister, Virginia Treviño.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10:00 am at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas with military honors to be conducted at the graveside by VFW Post 2035 of Brownsville, Texas.
