ORVILLE S. CORIELL
(1899-1957)
Orville S. Coriell, 57, of 1606 High St., died of a heart attack at 4 p.m. Sunday in his home.
Mr. Coriell was a machinist for the Norfolk & Western Railway Co. here for 39 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Machinists.
Born on Oct. 13, 1899, in Portsmouth, he was a son of Joseph Coriell and Minnie Eckhart Coriell.
Mr. Coriell is survived by his wife, Celia Hook Coriell, whom he married Dec. 18, 1920; son, Larry, at home; and two daughters, Mrs. Roy Hensley and Mrs. John Taylor, both of Dayton.
Also surviving are two brothers, Forest Coriell, 1626 Dewey Av., and Harry Coriell of New Albany, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Callihan of New Albany, Mrs. Gertrude Creekbaum, 1666 Robinson Ave., and Mrs. Brooks Gowdy, 1401 17th St.; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church. Rev. Hall Dautel will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at Emrick Funeral Home after 6 tonight and until 1 p.m. Wednesday, when the body will be moved to the church.
