Jeffrey O. “Jeff” Barrett, 68, of Ishpeming, passed away on Tuesday night, August 6, 2019 at UP Health System- Marquette following a lengthy illness.

He was born January 20, 1951 in Merril, Wisconsin, a son of Gerald and Leona (Schnarsky) Barrett. He was a 1969 graduate of Rhinelander High School.

Jeff served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as a machine operator for the railroad for many years and retired in 2011.

Jeff was a member of the local pool leagues and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Chris (Maki) Barrett, whom he married in Marquette in 1994; mother, Leona Barrett of Merrill, WI; siblings, Greg (Lisa) Barrett of Merrill, WI, Connie (Tom) Miazga of Oconomowoc, WI and Geralyn Barrett of Rhinelander, WI; and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Ellery.

There will be no services. Burial will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
