Shirley Jean Henson Fredell, age 65, of 311 Collins Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on February 2, 1941 in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late William McKinnley Henson and Hattie Gail Johnson Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: RD Henson and Joe Henson and two sisters: Liz Richardson and Patty Morefield.
Shirley was a member of Dewey Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles "Bud" Fredell, of the home; one daughter, Donna West of Winston Salem, North Carolina; two sons: Mark Fredell of Lake Wiley, South Carolina and Matthew Fredell of Mountain City, Tennessee; three sisters: Gladys Absher, Hazel Gentry, both of Mountain City, Tennessee and Mae Neal of Bluff City, Tennessee; three brothers: Kemp Henson, Ray Henson and Otis Henson, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Shelia Allison and Jack and Perry Ragan.
