Funeral service for Mrs. Azilee Thompson Moorehead age 90, of Fayetteville conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Ketchum officiating. Burial in Kelso Cemetery beside her husband L. C. Moorehead. Mrs Moorehead passed away Saturday morning at her residence.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Blanton and Delia Fanning Thompson, a seamstress at Dunnavants Dept. Store, Grandmother for the Child Development Center and was a member of the Beech Grove Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Carolyn Sullenger and husband Jody of Moore County, son Rufus Moorehead and wife Jo Ann of Fayetteville, son-in-law Don Scott of Fayetteville, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Moorehead was preceded in death by daughter Marilyn Scott, sister Ruby Moorehead, and brothers: Johnson, Walter, Crawford and Hubbard Thompson.
