Marilyn Ruth Miller Rudd, 73, of Nashville died Sunday October 27, 2019 in I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. She was born March 24, 1946 in Bradenton, Florida to Maurice “Pods” Miller and Marianne Bessire Miller. She had owned several businesses in Nashville.

Survivors include her two sons, Aaron (wife Hai) Rudd of Phoenix, Arizona and Andy Rudd of Nashville; a brother, Steve (wife Anne Ryan Miller) Miller of Nashville; two grandchildren, John and Anna Rudd of Phoenix, Arizona; an aunt, Louise Miller of Nashville; three brothers-in-law, Marc Rudd, David Rudd and Larry Rudd; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Rudd; a sister, Susie Roush; and a brother, John Miller.

Marilyn had attended Nashville United Methodist Church, she had owned many shops in Nashville including the Hob Nob Restaurant, Bellflower, Ruth’s Garden and Morning Sun. She was a graduate of Indiana University and a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Her Bachelor’s Degree in Botany led her to have a great appreciation of gardening, plants and flowers. She had an interest in Historical Preservation and Brown County History and local art. She also enjoyed cooking and fine food as well as painting and drawing.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Nashville United Methodist Church, 36 South Jefferson St, with Reverend Mary Wilder Cartwright officiating; burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. There 1will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday prior to services from 12:00 PM to service time of 3:00 PM.
