Christopher Lee Richardson Sr., 60, of the 100 block of Gillis Road, died July 8, 2007, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Born in Norfolk County, Virginia, he was a construction worker for 15 years for Herrins Construction Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his daughter, Janet Gibbs of Portsmouth; son, Christopher L. Richardson Jr. of Clairfon, Pa.; mother, Fannie S. Richardson of Portsmouth; five sisters, Nellie Spence (George) of Portsmouth, Brenda R. Walston (Randy) of Norfolk, Kathryn L. Richardson of Dumfries, Va., Janet Banks (Mack) of Williamsburg, Va., and Katie L. Lovejoy (Shannon) of Chesapeake; two brothers, Michael Richardson of Portsmouth and James W. Richardson Jr. of Andover, Mass.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by Dr. Frank Gunns. Burial will be in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today.
