Wayne grew up in Faxon, Oklahoma where he attended school until enlisting in the military. After serving in the army during WWII, Wayne moved to San Dimas, California where he met Mary Lucille Koller, whom he married on March 20, 1948. They continued living in San Dimas where they raised their children and Wayne worked for the metropolitan water district until his retirement.
After his retirement, they moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma where he served as tax assessor for Murray County until his retirement. Wayne enjoyed music-playing his guitar and writing songs. He occasionally played at the Sulphur Veteran Center and senior citizen center at Pauls Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Dale & Jack Crow; 2 sisters: Virgie Ayers and Ruth Glover Clayborn.

8 great grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren
