Sara Bair Miller Long, 87, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in the Middletown Home.

She was the widow of Donald William Long.

Sara was born in Bryansville Station, PA on July 28, 1932 to the late Charles G., Sr. and Mary W. (Miller) Bair.

Sara was a member of the Church of Brethren – Huntsdale and a former Republic Committee person, District 1 for a number of years. She was a retired toll officer for the PA Turnpike, a Middletown Librarian for over 20 years and a former waitress for the former 230 Diner.

Sara enjoyed sewing, quilting and blue grass music. She was a mom to many children with in the Boys Club, Pee Wee, Pony and Midgets.

Sara is survived by her sons, James L. and wife, Deborah J. Miller, David P. and wife, Deborah Miller, G. Edward and wife, Wanda Miller, all of Middletown and John W. and wife, Rebecca Miller, of Mesquite, TX; her daughters, Mary (Miller) Blessing and husband, John and Margaret (Miller) Doherty and husband, Andy, all of Middletown, Susan Long, of Duncannon and Sharon Long, of Camp Hill; her brothers, Robert Lester Bair and Charles G. Bair, Jr. and wife, Esther; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister, Eleanor Slabonik.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 1st, 2019 in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. A viewing will be held from 10 am to 11 am, Friday in the funeral home.

Burial will be held in Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown, PA.
