Sylvia Stradling Martin, 77, of Boones Mill, VA passed away Friday, October 25, 2019.
She was born May 29, 1942 in New York to the late Hazel Clark Stradling and William Stradling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Huss of New York.
Sylvia attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Bassett, VA.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Samuel Keith Martin of the home; daughters, Candis Jones and husband, David of Virginia; and Tamia Lollman of Virginia; brother, Bill Stradling of New York; and sister, Terri Emrich of New York. Also surviving are grandchildren, Sarah Francisco and husband, Will, Kathryn and Olivia Ferguson, Meriah Tresidder and husband, Neil, Lowell Morgan, Rena Harp; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Morgan and another great-grandbaby on the way.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Christopher Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel is serving the Martin family.
