Thomas Edwin Bower died at his home in New Oxford last evening at 9:35 o'clock. Death was due to a complication of diseases after an illness of about a year and a half. He was aged 84 years, five months and 18 days. His parents were the late Thomas and Margaret Bower.

In May 1882, he was married to Miss Rebecca J. Feiser, who survives him together with two sons and three daughters, as follows: Willis P., Philadelphia; Chester A., New Oxford; Mrs, Alice M. Weaver, this place; Miss Edna D., and Miss Mary L., New Oxford. Eight grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will be held on Thursday with services at the house at 10 a. m. The Rev, W. M. Allison, pastor of the Lutheran church will officiate. Interment will it made in the New Oxford cemetery.
