Anna Margaret Tipton of Downingtown
Anna Margaret Tipton, 90, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday Jan. 15, 2006, at Brandywine Hospital.
She was the wife of the late John Henry Tipton, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage before his passing in 1993. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late William and Lottie Yarnall Lyster.
Mrs. Tipton was a homemaker who was totally dedicated to her family. She enjoyed embroidery.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances Castle and Virginia Griffith, both of Honey Brook; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Tipton; two brothers, Donald and Wilbert Lyster, 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by three children, Esther "Jackie" Green, Eleanor Jane Coffman, and William Henry Tipton.
A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, Pa 19355, where family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment at Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery, Downingtown.
