In Memory of Douglas Marshall Reed, 72, of Hampton, Iowa, formerly of Dumont, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. He was born June 21, 1947, in Hampton, to Beryl and Jean (Hutchison) Reed.
Doug attended Greene High School. He was a member of the New Hope Parish Methodist Church in Dumont. Doug enjoyed woodworking, fishing and singing. He loved classic cars and being around people.
Doug is survived by his sister Laveta (Doug) Pfaltzgraff of Bondurant; sister Marcia (Lyle) Landers of Greene; niece Dawn (Tim) Plimmer; nephews Brad (Laura) Pfaltzgraff, Trace (Heather) Landers, Thad (Meghan) Landers; great nieces and nephews Olivia Griswold, Reed and Drake Pfaltzgraff, Gavin, Tate and Leah Landers, Kayden, Tegan, Jaydon and Taelyn Landers, Mitch and Jared Plimmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Beryl and Jean Reed and nephew Travis Landers.

10/23/2019 - Funeral service for 72-year-old Douglas M. Reed of Hampton, formerly of Dumont will be Friday, October 25th at 10:30 a.m. at the New Hope United Methodist Parish in Dumont. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont is in charge of arrangements. Douglas M. Reed passed away Wednesday, October 23rd at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.
