Steven B. Pittman, Sr., 54, of Mechanicsville passed away Friday, May 11, 2007. Born September 24, 1952 in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Willie Pittman, Sr. and Mary Baker Pittman. Mr. Pittman was employed with US Airways for 28 years as an airline agent. Survivors include his children, Matthew Shifflett, Abigail Pittman, Jacquelyn Pittman and Steven Pittman, Jr. all of Richmond; two brothers, Willie E. Pittman, Jr. and Edward H. Pittman, both of Charlottesville; and one sister Barbara Nunley of Brandon, FL. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Hinton Ave United Methodist Church, Charlottesville with Pastor Kerry Boggs officiating. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Ave, Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23226.
