Thelma, 90, of Hastings passed away Monday, October 12th, 2019 at Thornapple Manor. Thelma was born the daughter of the late Ray and Hazel (Standish) Fillingham.

She was raised in the Middleville area and attended local schools graduating in 1947 from Thornapple Kellogg High School. Thelma spent the majority of her working career as a supervisor at the Baby Bliss where served faithfully for over 25 years before retiring in 1991.

Thelma loved spending time with her children, and her sister in-law Violet. She looked forward to her Monday morning coffee meeting at McDonalds in Hastings, and the monthly dinners with friends from her apartment building. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting clowns, playing card games crocheting and playing bingo.

Thelma is survived by her son John (Pat) Higgins, 2 daughters Wayne (Carol) Hammond, and Wayne (Jean) Hadder, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many beloved friends

she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Yarger, Maxine Barry, & Beverly Bellafuso

A Memorial Service was held at The Pleasantview Family Church on Saturday, October 19th, with Pastor Steve Olmstead officiating. There will be a luncheon and time of fellowship immediately following the memorial service at Pleasantview Family Church. Interment will take place privately at Hooker Cemetery in Wayland, MI.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.
