LAKELAND, Tenn. - A memorial service for Gerald Edgar Staples Jr. of Lakeland, Tenn., will be at 4 p./m. today at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tenn.
Mr. Staples, 68, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, in Memphis.
Mr. Staples, the husband of Joanne Staples, was a graduate of Greenwood High School and also attended Mississippi State University. He was a retired computer programmer analyst of MC2.
Mr. Staples was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Staples and Gerald Edgar Staples Sr.
He is survived by a daughter, Shelia Chapman; a son, John Paul Staples; a brother, Paul Staples; and his grandchildren, Will and Colin Chapman and Amelia Staples.
